ISABER Lightsaber Battery Charger — USB-C 18650 Charger

Your saber’s battery will die mid-session if you don’t charge it. This is the charger that keeps it alive.

The ISABER Battery Charger is a USB-powered 18650 charger compatible with all ISABER sabers that use removable 18650 cells. Plug it into any USB port. The LED indicator shows charging status at a glance: red means charging, green means done.

Every ISABER saber includes a charger in the box. This is the replacement or spare — for when you need a second one at the office, in your gear bag, or because the original walked off at a convention.

What Are the Specifications?

Specification Details
Product Type External 18650 battery charger
Input USB (5V, standard USB-A or USB-C depending on cable)
Compatible Battery 18650 Li-ion (3.7V)
Charging Time ~4–8 hours (varies by battery capacity)
Indicator LED: red = charging, green = fully charged
Safety Overcharge protection, 5V max input
Compatibility All ISABER sabers with removable 18650 batteries

How to Use

  1. Remove the battery from your saber hilt.
  2. Insert the battery into the charger.
  3. Plug into any USB port — laptop, wall adapter, power bank.
  4. Wait for the green light. Red = still charging. Green = fully charged and ready.
  5. Reinsert the battery into your saber.

Charge time depends on battery capacity. A standard 3000mAh cell takes roughly 4–6 hours from empty. A 3600mAh cell takes closer to 6–8 hours. Partially drained batteries charge faster.

Safety Notes

  • Use only 5V USB power. Do not plug into fast-charging adapters that exceed 5V output. Standard phone chargers and laptop USB ports are safe.
  • Keep dry. The charger has exposed contacts. Water + charging battery = bad outcome.
  • Don’t drop it. The internal circuitry handles normal use. Hard impacts onto concrete can crack the housing or loosen the battery contacts.
  • Unplug when not in use. Leaving a fully charged battery in the charger indefinitely can degrade battery health over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Does every ISABER saber come with a charger?

A: Yes. Every ISABER saber includes a compatible charger in the box. This listing is for a replacement or spare — if you lost yours, need a second one for travel, or want a backup in your gear bag.

Q2: Can I charge the battery while it’s still inside the saber?

A: No. Remove the 18650 battery from the hilt first. The charger connects directly to the battery, not to the saber’s USB-C port. The saber’s USB-C port is for data transfer and firmware updates, not battery charging.

Q3: How long does a full charge take?

A: 4–8 hours depending on battery capacity. A 3000mAh cell (RGB Baselit) takes ~4–6 hours. A 3600mAh cell (Xenopixel/Neopixel) takes ~6–8 hours. The LED turns green when charging is complete.

Q4: Can I use this charger for non-ISABER 18650 batteries?

A: Yes. It charges any standard 18650 Li-ion cell (3.7V). The charger doesn’t know or care what brand the battery is.

Q5: Is it safe to leave the battery charging overnight?

A: The charger has overcharge protection and stops charging once the battery is full (green light). But as a general practice with any lithium battery, unplug when charging is complete. Carrying a spare battery and swapping mid-session is safer than overnight charging as a habit.

Q6: Why does charging take longer for some batteries?

A: Higher capacity batteries (3600mAh vs 3000mAh) hold more energy and take longer to fill. An older battery that’s been through many charge cycles may also charge slower. If a battery that used to charge in 4 hours suddenly takes 10+, the battery itself is degraded, not the charger.

Q7: The LED never turns green. Is the charger broken?

A: Not necessarily. Try a different battery first. A deeply discharged or damaged 18650 cell may not reach full charge. If a known-good battery also stays red indefinitely, the charger may be faulty. Contact ISABER support for a replacement.

Q8: Can I use a fast-charging phone adapter with this?

A: No. Use only standard 5V USB ports. Fast-charging adapters (Quick Charge, USB-PD, etc.) can output higher voltages that exceed the charger’s 5V input rating. Standard laptop USB ports and basic phone chargers are safe.
